Give me sand dunes, beach vibes, golden hour sunset atop a very high hill, and a gorgeous family to go with it= dream session for me. You might recognize these babes, too. This is my photographer friend Amanda McClellan (of Amanda Lee Photography) and her dudes, + baby bump. A few years ago, we connected via the lovely world of Instagram, and became fast friends soon after that. It’s so nice to have someone like Amanda to bounce ideas off of, talk about locations and business stuff. It can get pretty lonely in the photography world if you don’t have colleagues- and it can be really hard to have friends in this industry, especially ones who live in your same area. I can’t believe there are still photographers out there not open to hanging with their “competition”. Insert eye roll. Not us though! You CAN sit with us! ππ»
This fun friendship also opens up a whole new world of opportunities for us.
She and I are teaming up to teach local moms + dads how to use their cameras to take keepsake photos of their own babies!
We haven’t solidified a date yet, because we’re still nailing down the perfect space for the event. We should have something ready to go in the next few months! π If you’re anything like me or Amanda, you’re probably obsessive about documenting allll of life’s little moments (because one or two sessions a year with your photographer is niceπ, but what about the in between, every day moments?) And you probably have a really great camera at home that you might already be using; OR you want to use it but just cant quite figure out how to make your photos POP. We got you, boo!

Anyway, now that I’ve shameless plugged the crap out of this blog post- you have to see the images from this maternity session! They’re one of my favorite families to photograph, and one of my favorite families in general. We even had some super intimate ones at the end (all Amanda’s idea btw), but I’d love to do more like that! I’ll have another post (hopefully) soon debuting the beautiful angel babe in her belly, for a Fresh 48 session!
