Lifestyle Newborn Family Sessions are such an amazing way to

celebrate and remember the birth of your sweet new addition!

 

When Erica & Chris first contacted me to schedule a session, it was actually back in August, and it was intended to be an anniversary session to celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary! There couldn’t possibly be a better anniversary gift than Isaac. So the Anniversary Couples Session turned into a beautiful Newborn Family Session. One of Erica’s requests for this session was to ‘simply capture the moments’. With that said, I knew right away that we were going to create something really magical.

 

The Larson family’s session in Brighton, MI was perfect in every way! One of the many reasons Isaac is so special, is that he arrived early. Two months early! I typically shoot Lifestyle newborn sessions at 2-4 weeks old, but because he was so eager to come into the world and meet his family, we actually scheduled his session for about 3-4 weeks after his original due date, which made him almost three months old.

Isaac was very alert during his session, only sleeping here and there during it. We even got a couple of sweet little smiles out of him! The Larson’s home was the perfect backdrop for this type of session. There was tons of natural lighting pouring through the many windows in the house, and that was ideal for an in-home session. Isaac’s nursery was so beautifully decorated, too. Chris hand painted the entire room- including the Calvin & Hobbes mural on the wall! (The Larsons are huge Calvin & Hobbes fans, if that wasn’t already clear!)

Another cool thing about this session, is that the Larsons were kind enough to let me film their Session Trailer during! I love including these short little clips with client’s orders as something extra to remember the day, and they’re so fun for me to shoot and edit. Check it out below!
