This family… They are one of my favorites to work with. I see them every year, and every time they’re on my schedule I do a little happy dance, because I know it’s going to be a great session. Yes they’re gorgeous, and so easy to photograph, but they are just so much fun. We all laugh a lot during our sessions together, even when we’re being mauled by mosquitos 🤣
For this year’s family photos, we headed to a park in the New Hudson/Brighton area (Island Lakes Recreation Area). This location is one of my favorites to shoot at when I really want that warm golden sunlight at sunset. You’re up high on a hill, so there’s no missing any of the best light. And then there’s lots of sandy trails, with some tall grasses thrown in. When clients want the absolute best light (which is super important for a successful and beautiful session), this is one of my go to spots that I highly recommend.
