I did the most exciting thing ever! Gwynnie Bee, a clothing rental subscription service for women sizes 10-32, hired me to shoot a project for their blog! I could not be more proud to work with such a positive, empowering, and self-love promoting company.

When they first contacted me, Lisa from Gwynnie Bee’s editorial department, explained to me that their overall mission for the session was to give their member, Lori, an incredible experience.

Lisa said, “We want her to feel comfortable and have a great time and just really enjoy the process. As long as she feels wonderful, that’s what matters to us.”

I mean… come on. That’s totally up my alley, and exactly what I want for all of my sessions. We couldn’t have been more aligned in our wishes for the session!

Lori’s home was right on Lake Huron, and from the moment I arrived, I immediately felt light and refreshed. The water was so calming, and it was the type of neighborhood where everyone was friendly and waved as they walked past. We started the session at the house, which had it’s own cozy relaxed vibe, and ended our session when the sun was setting over the beautiful lake. One of the many reasons I love Michigan so much: our great lakes. They’re just so amazing, and our own version of a fresh water ocean!

 

To be honest, I was a little bummed when we wrapped this session up. That’s how much I enjoyed myself! Lori was so wonderful. Because it was a few hour drive for me, she didn’t mind at all that my mom and Hudson tagged along. They played down at the beach for a while, and Hudson developed his new love for rocks down there. Both my mom and I felt so…good, on the way home. I think part of it for me was the location.  But I think the most enjoyable part of this session for me, was getting to know Lori. She was so amazing. They always say kindness is contagious, but I think her peaceful soul and positive outlook on life was also equally contagious.

When planning this session, I just wanted to give Lori an amazing time and make her feel wonderful. I had no idea that I would also get so much out of it. Thank you Lori for welcoming my family into your home, and for such an absolutely wonderful afternoon. And thank you to Gwynnie Bee for choosing me for this project, and for being such an outstanding company!
