I immediately fell in love with Andrew at this in home Farmington newborn session. How could I not?! He was such an adorable little charmer.
Susan and Joel welcomed me into their lovely home to document their first born baby, Andrew.
They kept his gender a surprise until he was born, and anyone who can do that, in my opinion, has magical will power…that I am not equipped with. (Derek and I can’t even keep Christmas presents a surprise. We’re so bad.) So anyway, thus began his nickname, Peanut. At the end of his session, they had THE cutest little knit Peanut wrap, and as soon as they put him in it, he was in dreamland. Actually, he spent much of his session sleepy and sweet, as newborns often do. Here and there, he would open his eyes to see what was going on, or crack a smile to show us his adorable dimple. Gah! If I didn’t have baby fever before this session, those cheeks threw me right over the edge.
One of my favorite things about newborn sessions (aside from the obvious), is when families incorporate special keepsakes into their session. Susan and Joel had a few beautiful blankets; one of which Susan was baptized in when she was a baby, and the other was a special Grandma-made blanket. I love all of the cute little details of his nursery. I LOVE LOVE LOVE his chubby little cheeks. I loved hanging out with the H. Family for the afternoon. And I love how happy and complete the three of them are together. Also, while were on the topic of love; I love coffee, chocolate of any variety, this job because of all of the wonderful people I get to meet, and my two guys at home!
