Guys. I’m finally caught up on my 2017 blogging, and on to my 2018 sessions! *happy dance* This Fresh 48 was my first session of the year, and really got my creative flow going early on in my season.

This absolute angel baby is Julian, and his parents, Julia and Gordon, were clearly over the moon about him. And who wouldn’t be?! I love his sweet little detail shots, and I really love the shots with mom and dad. I always try to do individual photos with each parent, because I think each parent pulls different feelings. My shots with mom and baby usually bring a more delicate, gentle and euphoric feeling photo. And my shots with dads usually feel masculine, protective and proud. Or at least that’s what I feel, and what I want YOU to feel. (If you’re reading this, do me a favor and take one photo out of the bunch, and tell me what you FEEL when looking at it. I’d be curious to know if our feelings match up! Or if I’m just insane! 👍🏽)

I love my job. I love the people I meet, the stories they allow me to tell, and the way they allow me to tell it. The birth of a child is raw, real, emotional, powerful, and personal. I think one of the most incredible things is that my clients not only choose me to tell their stories, but that they trust me with their most important pieces of their lives. For a Fresh 48, they’re trusting me with that, but also letting me in on their most vulnerable moments. And that just humbles the hell out of me. 🙏🏽

On to the goods! 👇🏽
