Always love my sessions with this beautiful family! For this session Kim & Jeff wanted to switch it up a bit and do a downtown Birmingham shoot. Kim found this amazing ivy wall which was the most perfect spot for pictures. (a teenage girl flipped me off because she was mad that I wasn’t giving her privacy to take her own pictures with her cell phone I guess? Not really sure, but I had a good little laugh about it) We didn’t hang long at this spot, because there are so many pretty little spots throughout Birmingham.
They always dress so perfect too 👌🏼 love how they’re coordinated in neutrals, but no one is overly matchy. Think Rylee & Cru, Zara, Jamie Kay, and Quincy Mae.
If you’re looking for Birmingham family photography, I have lots of cute little places to shoot! We did some walking around, shooting in different areas. There was a cool parking garage that we were able to catch some of the sunset and take some cool minimalist photos. And then we ended the session at this cool park that had live music. When I was finished shooting, I said my goodbyes and left them there. I turned around to wave, and saw that they had all started dancing together to the music and they were just having the best time. It was so sweet! I couldn’t resist such a ‘true to them’ moment- I had to get my camera back out and go back over there. I snapped a few photos, and said my second goodbye, even though I was really thinking ‘please adopt me, I want to dance too’ 😂 They’re just the best family, and I always feel so happy after I spend time with them. (I did their newborn session a few years ago- you can see it here!)
