I’m breaking all of the blogger rules, and posting sessions out of order just because I have to share this gorgeous Mommy & Me session at Indigo Lavendar Farms, Imlay City MI.
So, in true photographer fashion I am way behind on blogging my sessions. I’m currently working on updating my extremely old and out of date website, and figured I better get some more recent work up on my blog. So here we are! I wish I could blog every single session, but if my timeline of posts is any indication on my timeliness with this, I just can’t keep up. If you’re my client and you’re seeing this, wondering where your blog post is- I promise I’m getting there. Slowly 🙈 Okay anywho- Indigo Lavender Farm in Imlay City. Holy wow I want to live here, and also live on tons of land and grow my own lavender. So dreamy!
This was my first session I’ve photographed there, and ever since, I’ve daydreamed about going back for more sessions. The lavender is only in bloom through out July, which also happens to be one of my busiest months. By the time I shared them for people to see last year, I was already booked for the month with other sessions, so I didn’t get a chance to go back before the lavender season was over. BUT I had so many people reach out after I shared this mommy & me session, that I am for sure planning on going back for 2021! (If you’re on my email list, keep an eye out for an email on this in the next month, because I am going to do something special for clients who want to book here this year). The sunlight was perfect, the weather was warm, and there was tons of room for these girls to run and frolic like the Disney princesses that they are.
If you take any one thing from the ramblings of this blog post, it needs to be this: MOMS. Get in the shots with your babies. Do it now, and do it often. Just trust me on this, because I could go on and on about how these babies change toooo fast, and how they need to have pictures of the number one lady in their lives, to cherish for all of their days. Now stop everything you’re doing, and email your photographer! (Or me, if you don’t have one 😉 #shamelessplug)
