10 Reasons You Need to Book a Fresh 48 session, featuring a session at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
This Fresh 48 at Beaumont Hospital was such a dream to shoot. To say that I love shooting these hospital sessions, doesn’t really do my feelings towards them justice. (View another one here.) Whenever I shoot them, I get the ‘hurry up and get home so you can look at the magic you documented’ feeling, that a lot of photographers get. I got stopped at a light on the way home, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t get my camera out and start scrolling through the images. (A few things: 1. I put the camera away the rest of my drive, FYI. 2. I think I feel like this about every single one of my sessions.)
Teuta and Luigi welcomed their sweet little Gjergj on April 25th, and he’s PERFECT. There’s something about new life that makes you feel like you’re in a little bubble of love in it’s purest form. Everything was so quiet that morning, and I don’t just mean audibly quiet. It’s like the whole world was still. Here we are, in the middle of this busy hospital; at the center of this busy city. The parking lot was jam-packed. Walking through the hospital, you hear the crowd of people talking in the large lobby, elevator bells dinging, phones ringing, etc. Just noise all around you. And then you walk into this room, and all of that just doesn’t exist. Hence, the “bubble of love”. It’s truly a one of a kind, magical feeling, and it’s one of the reasons I love shooting these so much. Thank you T & L for allowing me to document such a beautiful and sacred time for your perfect little family!
10 REASONS YOU NEED A FRESH 48 SESSION
1. To remember the way he fit in your arms at that exact moment.
2. To see the world the way that he sees it.
3. Documenting your new family of 3 (or 4 or 5).
4. Remembering all of the friends and family who came to meet your new addition.
5. Those little feet!
6. To relive the ways that you first bonded with each other.
7. Remembering how small that newborn size diaper is, and those first few diaper changes.
8. To see yourself be completely head over heels in love with your baby. You’ll feel it every minute of every day, but to be able to actually SEE it is pretty cool.
9. Remembering that cute little nose.
10. To be able to relive those magical first days, whenever he seems just a little too big or old.
