There are a lot of really talented people out there, so I totally get how hard it is to find the perfect one for you. I want to share with you what makes me different than the others.

This is one of the most important considerations when choosing a photographer, and possibly the first thing that you were drawn to when visiting my site. My style is lifestyle/documentary, meaning I shoot images to tell a story- your story. I strive to create classic & timeless photographs that will continuously tell your unique and beautiful story, years into the future.
2. I love what I do.
This isn’t a chore for me. It isn’t work, either. One of my favorite quotes is “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”. I am currently unemployed by those standards! I love the incredible people I get to meet. I love that they choose me to be the author of their stories. My passion for this “job” is never-ending.
3. You don’t want to feel nervous/stressed/uncomfortable/tense/etc. during your session.
My sessions are very relaxed and natural. Before we even get to the session day, I make sure that you’re completely prepared on what to expect during the shoot. I start most sessions by giving you some space by shooting from further away, to allow you to ease into the session. I always end up laughing and having a great time with my clients during their shoot. Basically what I’m trying to say is, all of those nerves will disappear within our first 7 minutes of shooting.
4. I will NEVER say the words “say cheese!”
If I want all of my photographs to tell a story, this is the story that would tell: ‘My cheeks are killing me. Get me out of here.’ Ick. Who wants to revisit that emotion every time they look at their family photos? So, I promise I wont say that. What I will do is lightly direct you to help produce natural looking images. I may help you pose initially. I will fix flyaway hairs. I may rip weeds out of my path with one hand, and take your photo at the same time with my other hand. I will laugh with you, and play with the kids. I may will trip over my own feet at some point. (You have my permission to laugh at that when it happens.)
5. You want to feel pampered.
Your session is all about you, your family and all of the things you desire in a photo shoot. From the moment we first chat, it is my personal mission to provide you with the best experience you could possibly have. I do this by connecting with you on a personal level, meeting your needs and surpassing your expectations, producing high quality art, and offering the best and most beautiful products to last you a lifetime.

In the beginning, I spend a lot of time gaining their trust, and getting to know them. Through out the session, I tend to let the child lead the way. I love letting them be themselves; allowing their personality to shine, and creating photographs of what makes them who they are. And sometimes, a dum dum sucker does the trick right from the start- with permission of course!
