If you keep up with my blog posts at all, you know that I am always behind on posting my sessions 🙈 I blame my kids, season 8 of GoT, the weather, laundry, and everything else that gets in between me and blogging. I’m jumping completely out of order on this one because it’s just begging to be seen.
Anyway, helloooooo gorgeous family session!
For this photoshoot in Holly, MI, we really wanted a tall grass field type location and I have plenty of those up my sleeve, but I have yet to do one at Seven Lakes. And it’s one of my family’s favorite places to hang out, so I was more than happy to shoot here! At the time that we shot this, I really had my heart set on a golden glowy warm sunset session, but since Michigan is… Michigan, we got overcast 🤷🏻♀️ But as soon as I started shooting, I didn’t even care about the sun anymore. I just love working with this family. The boys literally make me laugh the entire time were together, and they’re so fun to watch them interact with each other. I basically said “just play, run around, be silly and be lovey” and that’s what they did!
They also give me free reign to do whatever I want, and when I asked them to hike through the really, really tall grass (like taller than us, where bugs and other wildlife things may live) they were down, with almost no hesitation. And that was at the very end of the session, just to get a few shots at the big fallen tree.
